summer and more granola bars

Somebody has been busy...
Kasey has a 3rd tooth! One on top now too!
She continues wake up once a night and to be an early riser, very early...around 5am

 She gets better on standing all by herself daily but you can tell she wants to walk and I think she still has a while, she is like a bobble head but instead a bobble body

She also wants everything I have - cell phone, straws, cups, food, etc...
She has the sweetest voice and is super cute, at least to her Mama's eyes and ears...









Also, made a new granola bar recipe, because I have an obsession. Really yummy.
Swapped coconut oil for butter, swapped 1/3 cup of cherries for golden raisins and for the sliced almonds, mixed sliced almonds, peanuts and sunflower seeds instead.

Annie, the dog, came too and was so good!

Made these for Andy because he got a new teaching job in a PA school district! The cupcakes tasted like mini cakes, used this recipe (used half coconut oil half applesauce,) he got home before they had time to cool so I had made a lemon buttercream icing but it melted when I slathered it on.
We are SOO happy and excited for this new job!

Happy (belated) Birthday to my Husband! it was yesterday...

So lucky to have him.

rice krispies

so Kasey slept from 9:30pm to 5am last night! Exciting! except for the part where she woke up at 5am. This seems a little early when you were waiting up for your brother- in- law to make the game winning rbi in the 11th innining, in his 2nd minor league game....

If you wake up at 5am, as a baby, you need to nap by 8am!
So what would a mom do whose baby is napping on a day where it is going to be 100 degrees and the ac is broken?...run around vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, folding the laundry, making rice krispie treats - but oh wait she decided to make her own marshmallow cream for the treats - really? And then she had 2 egg yolks left over... what-to-do what-to-do, so she adjusts a recipe to make a small batch of lemon curd... obviously
not smart, and the marshmallow cream, looks delicious on this site but not worth my time, although  now I am no longer scared of spun sugar...

Next time I'll just wash the floor.
