10 reasons I hate to leave

I never believed step classes were workouts until Kasey started fighting daytime naps extra hard. This morning she put up an hour long fight for a 20 minute nap. One thing that helps put her to sleep is doing the box step up and down the first stair in our house. I just finished up my third set of the day and if you go for long enough it's a total workout!
But the end result is so worth it:

We will see if this little munchkin's stubborness (now for resisting nap-time) continues with her throughout her life. I don't know where she could have developed this trait -- certainly not from her parents! Even the pets are stubborn in this house...

No baking today - the next few days I plan to do a bunch and I am just tired of cleaning all those dishes.

I haven't left Kasey, unless you count the 20 minutes I ran around the block and my husband walked the baby and dog the same route slightly behind me, in 1 whole week! I hate leaving her but I bet a little break for cheerleading practice will do me some good! Luckily no wrestling matches tonight so my husband is staying home with the baby - as I see it we share in Kasey's care, although I choose to work a lot less and do the bulk.  Interestingly enough the US Census disagrees and claims Daddy's are a form of childcare, a little sexist don't you think. I read about it here: http://parenting.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/08/the-census-bureau-counts-fathers-as-child-care/

Here are 10 reasons I hate to leave tonight:

1. Bath time: She loved bath time!

and  we skipped last night's bath to go to a wrestling match...

2: chubby cheeks! my little bobble head doll

3. gummy smiles

4.  Tummy time! Especially tummy time on my chest...

5. all her silly faces....

6. puppy love

7. how she sucks on her whole fist to self soothe....

   8. Love watching baby- daddy time

  9. and a sleeping peaceful baby.....

10. Snuggling with my munchkin
